Q1. If there are several Designated Medical Institutions for Specified Infectious Diseases in the prefecture that are willing to take part, is it feasible to consult with you regarding multiple candidates?

For this time’s study, Research-Implementing Institutions will be limited to Designated Medical Institutions for Class I Infectious Disease. The participation of other medical institutions is currently under review.

Q2. What happens if a medical institution does not participate?

First, please provide an administrative nomination, after which we will hold a briefing session for that medical institution. The medical institution will have the last say on whether to take part. However, since we are seeking participation from all Designated Medical Institutions for Class I Infectious Disease across all prefectures, including the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, which is the commissioning body for this project, we would appreciate it if local governments would actively encourage these medical institutions to participate.
